Alana is a Registered Nurse endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner and Credentialled Diabetes Educator working with adults living with diabetes. She combines specialised diabetes expertise with the breadth of a 20-year nursing career, offering comprehensive assessment, personalised treatment planning, education and ongoing support, all in one place.

Experience
Over 20 years across intensive care, community health, primary care and specialist diabetes services with a strong commitment to professional development, including specialised training in diabetes and public health, as well as a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner), bringing depth and breadth to every consultation.
Current role
Alana currently works as a Nurse Practitioner in nurse-led clinics at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Diabetes Centre , along side her private role, where she provides personalised diabetes care for adults living with all types of diabetes. She is known for her practical, thoughtful and highly individualised approach. She has particular expertise in diabetes technology, including insulin pump therapy, supporting both pump initaiton and ongoing management.
In private practice
As an endorsed Nurse Practitioner and Credentialled Diabetes Educator, Alana can offer more than diabetes education alone. She provides advanced assessment, presonalised treatment planning and practical ongoing support, helping people better understand their diabetes and feel more confident in their care. Her approach is collaborative and connected, working alongside GPs, Endocrinologists and the broader health care team.
